Die Art wurde aus "Amasia" in der Türkei beschrieben. Nach Slamka (2019: 40) wurde sie auch im Irak (Diana [als "Salebria antipyrrha Meyrick, 1937"] und Ser Amadia) und im Iran (Sine Sefid, 2200 m [als "Ciliopempelia hyrcanella Amsel, 1961"]) nachgewiesen.
