Hofmann & Tremewan (2020: 11) behandeln Zygaena seitzi als zwölfte Art in der 21 Arten umfassenden manlia-group.

3.2. Faunistik

Nach Hofmann & Tremewan (2020: 99) (dort weitere Details) ist die Art ein Endemit von Teilen des Zāgros-Gebirges im Iran: "restricted to the central Kuhha-ye Zāgros. It has been recorded from only a few sites that are located between Fereydun Shahr in the north-west and Suriyan in the east."
