3.3. Taxonomie

Mally et al. (2015) schließen die Art aus der Gattung Leucinodes aus und nehmen Neukombination mit Syllepte vor.

3.4. Faunistik

Afrikanische Art (Nigeria, Südost-Afrika) mit einem alten Nachweis aus England; nach jenem Exemplar aus Chepstow, Monmouthshire wurde die Art auch beschrieben, so dass die Typenlokalität in Europa liegt. Slamka (2013) geht von Einschleppung mit Nahrungsmitteln aus.
