Die Art wurde aus Marokko (Babsis bei Sefru) beschrieben und ist nur von wenigen Orten in Marokko bekannt. Slamka (2019: 37) vermutet: "P. lecerfella and P. ardosiella are probably vicariant species which have different areas of distribution."
