Slamka (2019: 62) führt die Art in der Gattung Myrlaea.

3.3. Faunistik

Der locus typicus liegt im Iran (Persien). Slamka (2019: 62) nennt sonst nur noch Funde in der Türkei, so dass die Bestimmung des oben gezeigten Falters aus dem Osten von Afghanistan hinterfragt werden musste; F. Slamka (e-Mail 3. Oktober 2022 an E. Rennwald) bestätigte zu unserem Belegfoto aber: "yes, it should be mimicralis, occurrence in Afghanistan is possible, many species from the East have not precise distribution." M. mimicralis kommt also auch in Afghanistan vor.
