4.3. Taxonomie

Slamka (2019: 123) erklärt Monotonia Amsel, 1955 zur "bona gen.": "Genus Monotonia is not congeneric with Lambaesia Rebel, 1903 as established Roesler (1993). The type species of these genera show quite different morphological features."

4.4. Faunistik

Zerny (1914: 316) beschrieb die Art nach einem Männchen von "Zeitun, cilic. Taurus ex coll. Bang-Haas)". Locus typicus ist also Zeytun im Taurus, heute Süleymanlı im Osten der Türkei. Das Synonym Pristophora alphitopis wurde von Rayat im Irak beschrieben. Slamka (2019: 124) führt außerdem Syrien und den Iran als Länder mit Nachweis der Art an.
