2.1. Unterarten
- Aporia soracta sara Evans, 1932 [Unterart nach Nazari et al. (2024)]
2.2. Taxonomie und Faunistik
A. soracta wurde vielfach als Unterart oder gar als Synonym zu Aporia leucodice gestellt. Daher stammen dann auch die Angaben zu A. leucodice aus Indien, Nepal oder Pakistan. Nach Nazari et al. (2024) ist das aber falsch und A. soracta, A. nabellica und einige weitere Taxa sind genetisch eindeutig als eigenständige Arten aufzufassen. Sie stützen damit die zuvor schon ohne genetische Studie gemachten Aussagen von Kanoh & Sakai (2017), die in Aporia nabellica und Aporia soracta ebenfalls von Aporia leucodice getrennte Arten sahen.
A. soracta wurde von Moore in Horsfield & Moore (1957: 83) nach 2 Syntypen aus "Indien" bzw. "Daarjeeling" beschrieben. Nach Nazari et al. (2024) reicht das Vorkommen ostwärts weit nach Nepal hinein, im Westen bis in den Norden von Pakistan.
