3.2. Faunistik

Die Fauna Europaea (last update 23 July 2012, version 2.5) führt Ancylosis costistrigella (Ragonot 1890) unter Berufung auf Baez (1998) von den Kanaren an. Für Malta wird die Art als „absent“ bezeichnet. Dies überrascht, hatten doch Asselbergs et al. (2008) 1 Männchen vom 22. Mai 2006 (leg. A. Seguna) von Naxxar angeführt und die von Marokko bis Afghanistan verbreitete Art als neu für Europa bezeichnet.
