3.1. Etymologie (Namenserkklärung)

Li (2004: 317) erklärt: "The specific name of this new species is from the type locality Dangchuan, Gansu Province."

3.2. Taxonomie

Nach Li (2004: 314) gehört die Art in die "Coleophora sternipennella group". Am meisten Ähnlichkeit besteht zu Coleophora obscenella.

3.3. Faunistik

Die Art wurde nach einem einzigen Männchen aus Dangchuan in der Gansu Provinz in China beschrieben.

3.4. Typenmaterial

Li (2004: 316) informiert: "Holotype ♂, Dangchuan (3413°N, 10611°E), Tianshui, Gansu Province, 13 Aug. 1988, leg. WU Xing-Yu, genitalia slide No. L96108."
