Chrétien (1901: 18) hatte seine Coleophora calcariella von Silene nutans beschrieben.

Baldizzone (2019: 423) ist überzeugt davon, dass Silene-Arten die wichtigste Raupennahrungsquelle der Art sind, konkret "Silene spp. (flavescens, nutans, otites, italica)". Er fährt fort: "Segnalata da Nel (2001) anche su piante dei generi Dianthus, Gypsophila, Lychnis, Saponaria (Caryophyllaceae)." [Bladmineerders.nl] listet: "Agrostemma; Silene italica, viscaria, viscosa."
