3.1. Faunistik

Van der Wolf (2009) meldet eine Reihe von Exemplaren von Fuerteventura und schreibt dazu: "This species is new for the Canary Islands. It was described after one male specimen collected in Iran (Baldizzone, 1994). The capture of male and female specimens of this species together enables the description of the female genitalia." Nach van der Wolf (2010: 65-66) wurde die aus Bandar-Abbas im Süden von Iran beschriebene Art 2003 und 2005 auch in der Wüste von Tabernas (Spanien, Almeria) gefunden. Sie ist somit Bestandteil der Europäischen Fauna. Sie wurde noch nicht in die [Fauna Europaea, last update 23 July 2012, version 2.5] aufgenommen.

3.2. Typenmaterial

Baldizzone (1994: 230) beschrieb die Art nach einem einzigen ♂: “Holotypus ♂ (PG Bldz 8377): “S-Iran Dünen 17 km östl. Bandar-Abbas 15.IV.1972 Exped.Mus.Vind.”, coll.NHMW.”
