Alipanah & Slamka (2023: 21): “The new species is named after late Prof. Gholamreza Rajabi, the well-known Iranian entomologist, who was serious in his work, with a lot of energy and innovative ideas.”

Alipanah & Slamka (2023: 9): “Holotype, ♂, HMIM: Iran, Fârs Prov.: Shirâz, 10 km N Sivand, 1150 m, 15.v.1974, Pâzuki, Abâi leg. (gen. prep HA-2716, HMIM).” — Paratypen: 106 ♂♂ und 27 ♀♀ aus Iran, 1 ♂ und 1 ♀ aus Armenien, 2 ♂♂ aus der Türkei.
