Hu et al. (2026: 72) trugen zusammen: "Host plants. Lauraceae: Alseodaphne semicarpifolia, Persea americana (Meyrick 1916, 1936; Diakonoff 1973)." Diakonoff (1973: 76) hatte nur "Alseodaphne semicarpifolia (Lauraceae)" genannt. Meyrick (1936: 614) beschrieb sein Synonym Argyroploce heteraspis aber nach einem Falter von Taiwan " bred fom larva feeding in rolled leaf of Persea americana ( K . Fukuda)".

Meyrick (1909: 604) beschrieb seine Argyroploce semiculta nach zwei Faltern aus Sri Lanka und Indien: "1 ♂, Hakgala, Ceylon, in April (Green) ; 1 ♀, Khasis, in November." Hu et al. (2026: 72) trugen zusammen: "China (Chongqing, Guangxi, Hainan, Taiwan, Yunnan) (Meyrick 1936; Kawabe et al. 1992; Liu and Li 2002; Yu and Li 2009; Sun and Li 2024), Sri Lanka (Meyrick 1909), India, Soloman Is., New Guinea (Diakonoff 1973), Vietnam (Kuznetzov 1988; Le et al. 2013), Thailand (Pinkaew 2007). Remarks. Specimens from China were collected at elevations of 190–1,100 m."

Meyrick (1936: 614) beschrieb seine Argyroploce heteraspis aus "Formosa, Kagi" [Taiwan].
