Die Art ist nach dem Typenfundort Kuusamo benannt.

3.2. Typenmaterial

Kyrki (1989: 451): “Holotype ♂, labelled “Fennis Ks. Kuusamo [Grid 27°] 736:61, 10.8.1980, Jorma Kyrki leg.” (ZMO).” — Paratypen: 21 ♂♂ und 8 ♀♀ aus Finnland und Schweden.
