3.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)

Slamka (2013: 48) erläutert seine Namenswahl: "Named after Armenia in Transcaucasia." Von dort stammen die beiden Typusexemplare.

3.2. Taxonomie

Slamka (2013: 48) vermerkt selbstkritisch: "Only two specimens (male and female) were available. Wing pattern is similar to P. zeitunalis but more contrasty. Maybe this new species is only a subspecies of P. zeitunalis and requires further specimens for study."

3.3. Faunistik

Die Art war zunächst nur durch die beiden Typusexemplare aus Armenien bekannt.

Slamka (2013: 47) teilt mit: "Holotype 1♂, Armenia. Prov. Vayots Dzor, 10 km SE Areni, Noravank, 1600 m, 39°41'07''N, 45°14'02''E, 15.-17.vii.2011, leg. O. Karsholt; gen. prep. 570 Slamka, coll. ZMU Copenhagen (ZMUC). Paratype 1♀, same data; gen. prep. 571 Slamka, coll. ZMU Copenhagen (ZMUC)."
