3.1. Faunistik

In einer älteren Form der Fauna Europaea war zu Pleurota gallicella zu lesen: "Some specimens of this species, collected in France were uncorrectly identified as Pleurota hastiformis Walsingham, 1905 (Huemer, P. & Luquet, G. 1995). Therefore Pleurota hastiformis is removed from the European list."

Die Aufnahme der Art in die Liste von Karsholt & Razowski (1996) beruhte demnach auf einer Fehlbestimmung. Sie ist daher für Europa zu streichen. Locus typicus der Art ist El-Kantara nördlich von Biskra in Algerien.
