3.1. Etymologie Namenserklärung

Werner, Wanke & Rajaei (2023: 17) informieren: “The name smettboi originates from the famous 90s series ‘Pokémon’, which strongly influenced the childhood of the first author (MW) and that of her generation. Smettbo is the german name of a Pokémon (which is a small ‘pocket’ monster), that looks like a butterfly. With the slogan “Gotta Catch 'Em All”, the principle of Pokémon for finding all existing creatures, is a similar target in taxonomy.”

Werner, Wanke & Rajaei (2023: 15-16): “Holotype, ♂, “[Turkey] Kleinasien, Prov. Amasya, vic. Amasya, 400–1100 m, 13.vi-27.vi.[19]78, leg. de Freina”, g. prep. (♂) 0020/2021 M. Werner (in SMNS).” — Paratypen: 55 ♂♂, 15 ♀♀ aus dem asiatischen Teil der Türkei, dem europäischen Teil von Russland sowie aus dem asiatischen Teil von Kasachstan.
