Agassiz (2012) nennt Potamogeton perfoliatus (Durchwachsenes Laichkraut) als Nahrungspflanze in Afrika.

Nach Speidel & Mey (1999:137) wurde die Art aus Indien ("Inde centrale") beschrieben, sie kommt auch in Australien, im Jemen und Ägypten vor. Aday (2006) berichtete über den Erstnachweis der Art in der Türkei (Provinz Adana). Er zeigte Fotos der Belegtiere und zugehörige Genitalfotos.

Budashkin & Savchuk (2010) melden Nachweise von der Krim (Ukraine) aus Primorskyi (2005, 2007 und 2009) und vom Berg Karadag. Damit war die Art in die Liste der Schmetterlinge Europas aufzunehmen.

Unsere Falterbilder von A. Ponomarev von 2013 [Link Lepiforumsbeitrag A. Ponomarev vom 13. Dezember 2013] stammen vom Süden des europäischen Teils von Russland, Gebiet Astrachan, Bezirk Achtubinsk, Dorf Bolhuny.
