4.2. Taxonomie und Faunistik

Brown et al. (2019) fassen in ihrer Arbeit zusammen: "This work presents a multiple-gene phylogenetic analysis of 70 species representing 24 genera of Cochylina and eight species representing eight genera of Euliina, and a maximum-likelihood analysis based on 293 barcodes representing over 220 species of Cochylina. The results confirm the hypothesis that Cochylina is a monophyletic group embedded within a paraphyletic Euliina. Six major monophyletic lineages are recognized and defined within Cochylina." Das hat natürlich auch einige nomenklatorische Folgen. Insbesondere wird der bisherige Sammeltopf Cochylis in mehrere monophyletische Gattungen zerlegt. Gleich 5 europäische Arten finden sich in der neuen Gattung Neocochylis wieder: Neocochylis molliculana, Neocochylis dubitana, Neocochylis hybridella, Neocochylis millierana und Neocochylis salebrana.

Bei der lange als Synonym hierher gestellten Neocochylis millierana Peyerimhoff, 1877 handelt es sich nach Nel & Varenne (2017) um eine bona species. Neocochylis salebrana wurde aus Brussa (Brusa) in Kleinasien (Türkei) beschrieben. Die Fauna Europaea nennt Vorkommen in Mazedonien, Bulgarien, Rumänien und Ungarn, losgelöst davon aber auch in Italien, Sizilien, Sardinien, Frankreich, Spanien und Portugal. Es ist zu vermuten, dass alle Angaben zu Frankreich, Spanien und Portugal Neocochylis millierana betreffen. Nel & Varenne (2017) akzeptieren die Angabe Italien, zumindest Sardinien ist aber wohl noch zu prüfen. Das Vorkommen von Neocochylis salebrana in Italien und auf dessen Inseln ist wohl noch detailliert zu klären.
