• Thermocrates epischista Meyrick, 1936 [Originalkombination]

2.2. Taxonomie und Faunistik

Meyrick (1936: 620-621) legte für die Neubeschreibung seiner Art auch gleich eine neu Gattung an: Thermocrates Meyrick, 1936. Nach Robinson (1988) gehört Thermocrates epischista aber in die von Meyrick (1893: 559) aufgestellte Gattung Dryadaula, so dass es zur Neukombination zu Dryadaula epischista kam. Die Art wurde nach einem Einzelexemplar aus dem Süden von Japan beschrieben: "Kyûshû, Mozi" [Kyūshū]. Robinson (1988) schreibt von einem zweiten Exemplar (wohl auch von Japan) und einem dritten Exemplar von Hongkong.
