2.1. Nahrung der Raupe

Genaugenommen noch unbekannt. Viele der Typen flogen um Solidago sempervirens. McDunnough (1940: 61) ergänzt: “At Bathurst the species was definitely associated with Solidago sempervirens, the only Solidago species growing on the shore; however, the larvae presumably feed on other species of the genus as a good series of the same species was taken, together with C. duplicis, along the roadsides at White Point Beach, N.S., Aug. 21-9, 1935 and 1936, where sempervirens does not grow.”

McDunnough (1940: 61): “Holotype—♂, Bathurst, N.B., Aug. 7, 1939, (W. J. Brown) (captured around Solidago sempervirens); No. 4560 in the Canadian National Colletion, Ottawa. Allotype—♀, same data, Aug. 6, 1939 (J. McDunnough). Paratypes—22 ♂, 7 ♀, same olcality and collectors, all captured around S. sempervirens on Aug. 7 and 8, 1939.”
