Noch unbekannt! Baldizzone & Nel (2003: 123) vermuten, dass die Alpen-Aster (Aster alpinus) die Raupennahrungspflanze darstellt, da die Falter meist im Umfeld dieser Pflanze gefunden wurden.

Baldizzone & Huemer (2026: 69-70) schreiben zum Barcode: "BIN: BOLD:AGP4903. The intraspecific average p-distance of the barcode region is unknown (n=1). The minimum p-distance to the Nearest Neighbor, another BIN of Coleophora pseudosquamosella in BOLD, is 1.66% (BIN: BOLD:ACE3745) (n=30)." Steckt da doch noch eine kryptische Art darin ?

Nach der nicht mehr online verfügbaren Fauna Europaea, Version 2.4, last updated 27 January 2011 in Europa nur aus Frankreich und Italien (Festland) bekannt.
Baldizzone & Huemer (2026: 69-70) melden die Art erstmals aus Kirgisistan: "3 ♂, Kyrgyzstan (K124), Suusamyr Valley, 2214m, 26/27.7.2024, leg. T. Mayr, gen. slides Bldz 18366 ♂, 18369 ♂, DNA Barcode IDs TLMF_Lep_46870, 46871 (coll. Mayr and coll. Baldizzone); 1 ♀, Kyrgyzstan (K130), Chatkal, Chandlash Gebiet, Straße richtung Kara-Buura Pass, ca. 1700m, 31.7.2024, leg. P. Huemer, gen. slide Bldz 18412 ♀, DNA Barcode ID TLMF_Lep_43182 (coll. TLMF)." Die Gesamtverbreitung bleibt trotzdem unverstanden: "France, Italy, Russia (Altai). New for Kyrgyzstan."
