3.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)
Tabell & Kullberg in Tabell et al. (2024: 33) erläutern ihre Namenswahl: "The species epithet refers to Mikhail (Misha) V. Kozlov, who is one collector of the holotype of the new species."
3.2. Taxonomie
Tabell & Kullberg in Tabell et al. (2024: 33) erläutern: " Two specimens of C. mishai were sequenced successfully, resulting in 658 and 633 bp barcode fragments. The nearest neighboring species to C. mishai is still undescribed Turkish Coleophora species belonging to the dianthi species group, with a 4.01 % divergence. The barcodes of C. mishai exhibit 1.61 % intraspecific variation."
3.3. Faunistik
Von dieser Art wurden 2001 einige Belegtiere ausdem russischen Altai gesammelt, die Art aber nicht beschrieben. Tabell & Kullberg in Tabell et al. (2024: 33) berichten von einem weiteren Exemplar ganz aus dem Norden des europäischen Teil Russlands, aus Naryan-Mar im Autonomen Kreis der Nenzen. Letzteres Exemplar wurde zum Holotypus.
