Landry (1994: 1189) beschrieb die Art nach einem einzigen Falter: “HOLOTYPE ♂, in USNM, labelled: "Col. Becker/ 69775" [printed with number handwritten]; "Mexico: Tam/ Gomes Farias/ 1000m, 29-/31.vii.1988/ V.O. Becker/ M.A. Solis" [printedl; genitalia on slide JFL 786. The specimen is double-mounted with the wings partially spread, in good condition except that the upper surface of the forewings is somewhat rubbed.”
