4.2. Faunistik

Die Art wurde aus der Türkei (Malatya) beschrieben, das Synonym Coleophora aureliani aus Rumänien. Baldizzone et al. (2006: 79) nennen den Iran als weiteres Land mit Vorkommen der Art.

Toll (1952: 54) beschrieb die Art nach einem einzigen ♂: « Asie-Mineure, Malatia, en mai. La femelle est inconnue. Le type se trouve dans ma collection. »
