Nach der nicht mehr online zugänglichen Fauna Europaea, Version 2.4, last updated 27 January 2011 in Europa nur im Süden des europäischen Teils Russlands. Baldizzone & Huemer (2026: 33) melden die Art erstmals aus Kirgisistan - gleich von einer Reihe von Fundorten: " 1 ♂, 1 ♀, Kyrgyzstan (K67), Issyk-Kul Lake, near Kara Koo, 1774m, 18.6.2022, leg. P. Huemer, gen. slide Bldz 18328 ♀, DNA Barcode IDs TLMF_Lep_33231, 34363; 1 ♀, same data but leg. T. Mayr; Moldo Too Mts., 7 km E of Kyzyl-Korgon, 1491 m, 6.5.2023, leg. S. Korb (all coll. TLMF); 1 ♀, Kyrgyzstan (K76), Issyk Kul Lake, Ak Suu Canyon, 1970m, 21.6.2022, leg. T. Mayr, gen. slide Bldz 18299 ♀ (all coll. Mayr)."
Sie machen auch Angaben zum Barcoding: "BIN: BOLD:AAE8820. This BIN, beside of C. lacera, also includes two sequences of C. callipepla Falkovitsh, 1979 from Russia and one most likely misidentified of C. caespititiella Zeller, 1839. The intraspecific average p-distance of the barcode region is 1.07% (n=9). The minimum p-distance to the Nearest Neighbor, Coleophora dignella Toll, 1961 and C. abostraminata Toll, 1960 in BOLD, is 6.25% (BIN: BOLD:AAO2410) (n=10)."
