3.1. Etymologie (Namenserkklärung)

Li (2004: 320) erklärt: "The specific name is from the type locality Gongliu, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region."

3.2. Synonyme

• Coleophora subula (Falkovitsh, 1993) [synonymisiert von Baldizzone, van der Wolf & Landry (2006: 12)]

3.3. Taxonomie

Nach Li (2004: 314) gehört die Art in die "Coleophora sternipennella group". Am meisten Ähnlichkeit besteht zu Coleophora therinella.

3.4. Faunistik

Die Art wurde nach zwei Männchen aus Gongliu in der Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China beschrieben.

3.5. Typenmaterial

Li (2004: 320) informiert: "Holotype ♂, Gongliu (4314°N, 8212°E), Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, alt. 1500 m, 27 July 1994, leg. LI Hou-Hun and QIN Hong-Yan, genitalia slide No. L96353. Paratype 1 ♂, alt. 1100 m, 21 June 1994, leg. AN Xin-Cheng, same locality as holotype."
