McDunnough (1942: 170) war die Raupennahrung noch nicht konkret bekannt. Er berichtet: “The species was taken flying along with glaucicolella around Juncus littoralis.”

McDunnough (1957: 4) präzisiert: “This species has been bred from cases found on Juncus balticus at White Point Beach, Queens County, Nova Scotia. The mention of larval cases in the original description as possibly being those of this species proves erroneous.”
