Budashkin et al. (2015) schreiben "SUMMARY. The results of processing of the Slovak entomologists collections 2008-2014 years in the North Caucasus, Kalmykia, South Ural, Altai and Armenia are given. Five Coleophoridae species (Casignetella spiralis (Falkovitsh, 1977), C. clarissa (Falkovitsh, 1977), C. adalligata (Falkovitsh, 1975), comb. n., C. falkovitshella (Vives, 1984), C. mediocris (Falkovitsh, 1977)) are reported for the first time for Europe" (Budashkin et al. 2015). Zu "Casignetella falkovitshella" heißt es dann im weiteren Text: "Russia, South Ural, Verbljushka hills, Donskoe, 23.08.2011, L. Srnka, 1 ♂."

Фалькович (1975: 368) beschrieb die Art unter dem nomen praeoccupatum Coleophora cornutella nach einem einzigen ♂: “Голотип, ♂: Bulgan aimak, 9 km O von Somon Abzaga, 1300 m, 22 VII 1966 (Dr. Z.Kaszab, Nr. 729).”
