Baldizzone & Huemer (2026: 95) berichten zum Barcode: "BIN: BOLD:AAP5431. This BIN also includes several samples of Coleophora polynella Falkovitsh, 1972 and C. iucunda Baldizzone, 2024, indicating BIN-sharing or eventual misidentifications. The intraspecific average p-distance of the barcode region is 1.35% (n=23). The minimum p-distance to the Nearest Neighbor, Coleophora mendica Baldizzone & van der Wolf, 1990 from Spain, is 2.88% (BIN: BOLD:ABV9537) (n=4)."

Nach der Fauna Europaea (version 2.4, last update 27 January 2011 [nicht mehr online verfügbar]) kommt die Art im Süden des europäischen Teils von Russland vor. Sie wurde aus der Oblast Wolgograd beschrieben.
