4.3. Faunistik
Die Art wurde von Reznik (1975) aus der Mongolei beschrieben. Baldizzone (1986: 10) meldete eine Reihe von Funden aus Spanien und verwies darauf, dass Reznik die Art in einer neueren Arbeit auch für die Krim (Ukraine) nachgewiesen hat. Laštůvka & Laštůvka (2017) berichteten dann über den Erstnachweis in Portugal und Nel et al. (2021: 174) folgten mit durch Barcoding abgesicherten Meldungen aus Süd-Frankreich: "Plusieurs exemplaires de cette espèce ont été pris à la lumière près des dunes de Carnon (Hérault), en mai et juin, au cours des années 2018 et 2019 (G. Labonne leg.). Devant la difficulté pour les déterminer, une analyse ADN-barcoding a été réalisée grâce à Peter Huemer (Autriche) et il s’agit donc bien de Coleophora changaica, espèce nouvelle pour la France."

Reznik (1975: 372): „Central aimak, 12 km S von Somon Bajanbaraat, 1380 m“ (Holotypus) sowie zwei Paratypen vom selben Fundort; ein Paratypus aus „Bajanchongor aimak, Changai Gebirge, 35 km S von Bajanchogor (Zentrum), 2000 m“; ein Paratypus aus „Bajanchongor aimak, Žinst ul Gebirge, 50 km O v. Somon Schinežinst, 2000 m“.
