3.1. Nahrung der Raupe

Noch unbekannt! Da die Art in die C. frischella-Gruppe gehört, sind als Raupennahrung Fabaceae zu erwarten. Walsingham (1907: 125) berichtete in seiner Erstbeschreibung von der Suche am Typenfundort "in a dry torrent bed, a little to the right and just beyond the reed-encircled pond about one kilomètre S.W. of Hammam-es-Salahin": "In 1904 I found it the commonest insect in the place, and set thirty-eight specimens, - cases subsequently collected on Trifolium sp. must undoubtedly belong to this species, although unfortunately I did not bred it." Geklärt scheint das noch immer nicht zu sein. Stübner (2007: 132) jedenfalls formulierte hundert Jahre später: "Walsingham (1907) fand Säcke an Trifolium sp., die möglicherweise zu C. argentifimbriata gehören." Die Klee-Art wurde anscheinend nie bestimmt.

4.1. Faunistik

Baldizzone et al. (2006:30) führen die Art nur aus Algerien (Typenfundort "in a dry torrent bed, a little to the right and just beyond the reed-encircled pond about one kilomètre S.W. of Hammam-es-Salahin") und aus der Türkei an.

Baldizzone (1994: 82) designierte einen Lectotypus: “Lectotypus ♂ [designato in questa sede] conservato al BMNH, reca le seguenti etichette: 1) “LECTOTYPE” (a stampa, rotondo, orlato di blu), 2) “Type H.T.” (a stampa, rotondo, orlato di rosso), 3) “Hammam-es-Salahin ALGERIA 18.III. 1895 Eaton 8303” (a mano e stampa), 4) “Walsingham Collection. 1910-427” (a stampa), 5) “COLEOPHORA ARGENTIFIMBRIATA Wlsm. Ent. Mo. Mag. XLIII.125 (1907) TYPE ♂ descr.” (a mano e stampa), 6) “B.M. ♂ Genitalia Slide No. 19180” (a mano e stampa).”
