Nach Emmet et al. (1996: 328) und Baldizzone (2019: 354) lebt die Art ausschließlich an der Salz-Binse (Juncus gerardii).

New for Kyrgyzstan." Und zum Barcode ist bei ihnen zu erfahren: "BIN: BOLD:AAF3766. Records of C. taygeti Baldizzone, 1983 and C. gallipennella (Hübner, 1796) in this BIN are certainly erroneous. The intraspecific average p-distance of the barcode region is 0.14% (n=17). The minimum p-distance to the Nearest Neighbor, an unnamed Coleophora sp. from Spain, is 3.26% (BIN: BOLD:AAD9344) (n=14)."
