3.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)

Baldizzone (2023: 245) erklärt: "The name derives from the place where the species was collected." Gemeint ist das Wadi er Ratam in Jordanien.

3.2. Taxonomie

Nach Baldizzone (2023: 245) gehört die Art in die Gruppe um Coleophora involucrella und dort in die direkte Verwandtshaft der Coleophora celsa.

3.3. Faunistik

Die Art ist vorerst nur durch die beiden Männchen vom Typenfundort Wadi er Ratam in Jordanien bekannt.
