1.1. Taxonomie

Walsingham (1909: 321) beschreibt zwei neue Arten, für die er die Gattung Embola aufstellt. Embola xanthocephala wird dabei als Typusart bezeichnet. Hsu & Powell (2005: 56-74) akzeptieren diese Gattung und weisen ihr insgesamt 11 Arten zu.
