Qin et al. (2025: 283): “The new genus is named Minclethrorasa, formed by combining the generic name Clethrorasa with the prefix min- (derived from Latin ‘minus’, meaning ‘smaller’). This nomenclature reflects its morphological similarity to Clethrorasa while emphasizing its diminutive body size.“
