Ronkay & Gyulai (2006: 243) beschrieben die Art nach einem einzigen Falter: “Holotype: ♂ Iran, Prov. Tehran, Central Elurs (Alborz) Mts, 2800 m, Azar-Ber, 12-13.IX.2001, leg. P. Gyulai & A. Garai, slide No. 1593 Gyulai. The holotype is deposited in the collection of P. Gyulai, in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest.”
