3.2. Taxonomie

Moore (1867: 54) beschrieb die Art in der Kombination "Epilecta pulcherrima". Später wurde sie in Polyphaenis, Triphaenopsis und dann Olivenebula überführt. Ronkay & Ronkay (2023: 427) nehmen sie in ihre neue Gattung Dandirania auf. Dabei befreien sie Dandirania opulenta wieder als bona species aus ihrer zwischenzeitlichen Synonymie. Angaben aus dem 20. und frhen 21. Jahrhundert könnten also beide Arten betreffen.

3.3. Faunistik

Locus typicus ist Darjeeling in Indien.

Ronkay & Ronkay (2023: 47) schrieben: "Distribution. Central and Eastern Nepal (Annapurna Himal, Ganesh Himal); NE India (Sikkim)."
