Sutton (1963: 373) beschrieb die Art nach einem einzigen Falter: “Holotype ♂, Firizkuh col, 7,000 ft., Elburz Mountains, Iran, 12. ix. 1961, S. L. Sutton, detected as a new species by Boursin. Collected near mountain stream in semi-arid terrain. Type deposited in the British Museum (Natural History).”
