Varga et al. (2013: 96) teilen mit: “The new species is dedicated to the memory of Henri Hoppe (†) (Klein Pravtshagen, Germany), talented young specialist of the Noctuidae fauna of the western part of Eurasia and Africa.”

Varga et al. (2013: 96): “Holotype. Male, Iran, Prov. Golestan, Mazandaran, Azad Shahr, 1000 m, 3.VI.1999, leg. T. Hácz & G. Kőszegi; slide No. RL6848m (coll. P. Gyulai).” — Paratypen: 6 ♂♂ und 1 ♀, alle aus Iran.
