2.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)

Ronkay et al. (2011: 55) erklären: “The new species is dedicated to Asghar Shirvani Saadatabadi (Kerman, Iran), talented young Iranian noctuid expert, explorer of numerous new Noctuidae species in Iran.”

2.2. Typenmaterial

Ronkay et al. (2011: 54): “Holotype. Male, Iran, Prov. Hamadan, Zagros Mts, 25 km SE of Nehavand, 2000 m, 25-26.IV.2000, slide No.: RL 10236m (coll. G. Ronkay).” — Paratypen: 14 ♂♂ und 7 ♀♀, alle aus Iran.
