Der Erstbeschreibung lagen Falter zu Grunde, die abends um Minze (Mentha) geflogen waren.

Die Art wurde von Korsika (in der Nähe von San Antonio) beschrieben. Sie ist jetzt außerdem bekannt aus Süd-Frankreich, Spanien, Sardinien, Griechenland, Tunesien und durch ein Foto vom 14. März 2010 von Eduardo Marabuto [Bild auf flickr.com] aus der Nähe von Lissabon in Portugal.

Rákosy & Goia (2021: 175) nennen die Art aus Rumänien nur mit großer Vorsicht: "The species has been reported near Ineu (Arad county) and Retezat Mountains (Căpușe & Kovács 1987). As the species has not been reported in neighboring countries, it is necessary to confirm the accuracy of this diagnosis."
