3.1. Etymologie (Namenserklärung)

Corley (2017: 131): “This beautiful new species is named in honour of my friend and colleague Dr. Sónia Ferreira, who collected the holotype. The epithet soniae is a noun in genitive case.”

3.2. Taxonomie

Corley (2017) verzichtete vorläufig auf die Ermittlung des Barcodes von C. soniae, weil zu dieser Zeit noch kein Barcode für die nächstverwandte Art C. splendida zur Verfügung stand.

3.3. Typenmaterial

Corley (2017: 131) beschrieb die Art nach nur einem ♂: “Holotype ♂ (Fig. 1): ‘Portugal / Salgueirais / Serra da Estrela / 940 m Beira Alta / 13.vi.2005/ Sónia Ferreira’ ‘Chrysoclista/ splendida Karsh. / det. J.C. Koster / prep. 6497 ♂’. The specimen will eventually be deposited in the Natural History Museum, London.”
