Gozmány (1977: 89): “Dedicated in friendship to its collector, Mr. W. Glaser, excellent microlepidopterist, Vienna.”

Die Art ist nur aus Spanien bekannt.

Gozmány (1977: 89): “Holotype male: “Hispania, Cataluna Port Bou, 0–300 m, 4–12. 10. 64. leg. M. u. W. Glaser” “Orpecovalva glaseri Goz. gen. prep. No. 4740 Dr. L. Gozmány”; paratype male: same data, but from “9.–24. 6. 64” (slide 4744, Gozmány); four paratype males: same data, but from “18. 9. – 28. 9. 1966” and “11. 7. – 18. 7. 1967” and all “leg. Arenberger” (slides 4736 und 4737, Gozmány). Holotype in Mr. W. Glaser's collection, Vienna, paratypes in Mr. Arenberger's collection, Vienna, and in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest.”
