Varenne & Nel (2015: 104-105) melden genitaldeterminierte Funde beider Geschlechter aus Frankreich. Bisher sei die Art nur aus Spanien bekannt gewesen.

Gozmány »; both preserved in the Traugott-Olsen Collection, Marbella, Spain. A third, paratype, male: « Hispania, Andalucia. Camino de Istan. ca. 200 m 18-6-1983 E. Traugott-Olsen » « Paratypus Apatema hispanicum sp. n. gen. prep. No. 5751 det. L. Gozmány » deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest.”
