Rajaei & al. (2023: 197) bemerken zu einem angeblichen Vorkommen im Iran: “Carposina sasakii occurs in East Asia and is not recorded in West Asia (Diakonoff 1989: 69). The record of C. sasakii from Iran dates to before the description of the two endemic Iranian Carposinidae: C. ekbatana and C. roesleri. The name of the synonym C. persicana Sasaki, 1905 does not refer to ‘Persia’, but to the host-plant Prunus persica (peach).”
