Huemer & Karsholt (1999: 98): “Dedicated to Mrs. Linda Pitkin, BMNH, who has substantially contributed to the present knowledge of this species and Gelechiinae in general.”

Huemer & Karsholt (1999: 98): “Holotype. ♀, ‘Hellas, Lakonia 7 km SW Monemvasia 2-iv-1980 leg. G. Christensen’ ‘L.M.P. Genitalia slide ♀ No. 121’ (ZMUC).
Paratype. 1 ♂, same data as holotype, but 16.iv.1981 leg. Skule (ZMUC).”
