Nach [Afromoths] kommt die Art in Kenia und Südafrika, nach [Global Biodiversity Information Facility] auch in Äthiopien, Zimbabwe, Liberia, Uganda und Zambia.

Locus typicus: Holotype ♂, Eastern Cape, Cape Colony, Transkei (Südafrika, leg. F. Barrett, befindet sich im Natural History Museum (UK) London.
