Gozmány (1962: 61) beschrieb die Art nach einem einzigen ♂: “Holotype male: »Hispania, Motril, 7. 6. 1959, leg. Vartian, gen. prep.: 1348, dr. Gozmány«. Deposited in K. Burmann's collection, Innsbruck.”
