Gozmány (1963: 94) beschrieb die Art nach einem einzigen Falter: “Holotype male: »Persia s. Elburs s., Tacht i Suleiman, Vandarban Tal, 19–2000 m., 1–3 VII. 1936, leg. Pfeiffer, coll. Osthelder (striolatella Osth. in litt), gen. prep. 324 ZSBS, Gozmány«, in the collection of the Zoological Collection of the Bavarian State, Munich.”
